How it Works:
Consultation:
Retiring aboard can provide a number of benefits and improve quality of life. This can usually be done by applying for residency and some countries have additional processes specific for retirees. When you contact us to schedule a consultation, one of our expert Retirement Immigration Officers will explain the different options to find which fits you the best, based on your personal preferences and then what steps you need to take. Some factors include cost of living, language, dietary preferences, climate, healthcare entry process for family and friends, and other social benefits. We will ask if you need help with any step in the process and can also assist if you have already started. After the initial consultation, we will send you a service agreement, schedule the Assessment and send you the invoice (about $225.00) for the Assessment fee.
Assessment:
After the consultation, we will schedule the Assessment and provide you with the various options and locations and benefits of each. We will explain the relevant options in detail, including what documents will be required. You will also be directed to the official websites for each country that fits your needs.
The fee is about $27.00 per page of the application, including the application instructions, plus 5% of the submission fee (if any) for both Citizenship and Residency applications.
Costs for other or optional services such as housing, cellular phone services, local banking, transportation, health insurance or others are dependent on client specifications and will be included in a separate service agreement.
Application:
Once the Assessment is completed, we will begin the formal application process. We will again provide you with the links for the official website (if applicable) of the government agencies for the applications.
You may be required to pay a submission fee before completing the application. We suggest that all clients pay any application fees directly through the official government site. Once the required fees have been paid we will complete and submit the application. You will then receive confirmation that the application has been submitted (this may be immediate or after several days depending on the specifics of the application, including country and application type).
The application may be a multi-step process which requires additional details or documents to be submitted within a specific period. (Such as a criminal history check, health certificate and proof that you can support yourself.)
We can assist you with submitting these documents as well.
Acceptance:
After the application and all required documents have been submitted, you should expect to receive the acceptance notification. This is different for every country and is usually between a few weeks or months.
You may be required to either take or post your passport to the inviting country’s embassy to receive your Visa (in the event of citizenship you may then apply for a passport). You will receive instructions usually along with the acceptance notification. You may be required to have your residency Visa before entering the country (not all countries require this).
Important Note: The Acceptance notification may be online, emailed or posted to your address, and you will need to contact us when you receive any email or post regarding your residency or citizen application.
Adjustment:
After relocating, we can provide assistance and in some cases a personal assistant, to help you with day to day or as needed help until you adjust to your new location.
Examples:
The Philippines offers a Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV). The application fee is USD$360.00 and these Visa holders may leave and return at any time. The SRRV may also grant the holder the option to work and study locally and public healthcare. The cost of living in the Philippines is between 1/3 and 1/5th of that of the USA as well as being an English speaking country.
Other costs may be required at the expense of the client for legal work, notarization, background checks, etc… and these are the responsibility of the applicant.
Finally all applicants must follow the processing schedule fees with Immigrate Global as required by the Personal Assessment Guide.
